Revised Staff Drafts Published, April 20, 2026 | Additional Public Hearing Date Added, May 11, 2026

A Revised Staff Draft Zoning Ordinance and zoning map are now available on Engage Rockville. These Revised Staff Drafts reflect Mayor and Council direction on Planning Commission recommendations; along with technical corrections, minor policy changes, and plain language revisions.

Two more public hearings are scheduled for Monday, May 4, and Monday, May 11, during the regularly scheduled Mayor and Council meetings. The May 11 hearing was added at the Mayor and Council’s request, following their April 13 meeting. Three work sessions with Mayor and Council are scheduled for May 4, 11, and 18. The Mayor and Council will continue to discuss the Revised Staff Drafts at these meetings and provide further direction before Final Staff Drafts of the Zoning Ordinance and zoning map are produced. Public release of the Final Staff Drafts is currently planned for June 1.

Meeting brief books, which include the staff reports and other briefing materials, will be available in the city’s Agenda Center approximately one week before the meeting. Mayor and Council meetings generally begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the Mayor and Council chambers at Rockville City Hall (111 Maryland Avenue). Meetings are also broadcast live on Channel 11.
