Updates to the ZOR & CMA Adoption Schedule

This past Monday evening, the Mayor and Council postponed the final scheduled adoption work session for the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite and Comprehensive Map Amendment project. The final work session is now scheduled for Monday, June 1. Publication of the Final Staff Draft Zoning Ordinance and map have also shifted, and will now occur on June 15 (previously June 1). The anticipated adoption date remains June 29, 2026.

Community members are encouraged to follow the upcoming work session as the Mayor and Council continue their review. Meeting brief books, including staff reports and other materials, will be available in the city’s Agenda Center approximately ten days before each meeting. Mayor and Council meetings generally begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the Mayor and Council chambers at Rockville City Hall (111 Maryland Avenue). Meetings are also broadcast live on Channel 11.
