Changes to the Mayor and Council’s Work Session and Adoption Schedule

We are writing to share an update on the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite and Comprehensive Map Amendment project timeline. This past Monday evening, Mayor and Council postponed the first scheduled work session for their portion of the project’s adoption process. The first work session on the ZOR and CMA is now scheduled for Monday, April 13, coinciding with the first Mayor and Council public hearings for the project. The second public hearing and work session have been rescheduled to May 4. Subsequent meetings have also shifted, and adoption of the ZOR and CMA is now planned for July 6. Meeting brief books, which include the staff reports and other briefing materials, will be available in the city’s Agenda Center approximately one week before the meeting. Mayor and Council meetings generally begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the Mayor and Council chambers at Rockville City Hall. Meetings are also broadcast live on Channel 11.
