Field Data Collection Begins for Green Space Planning

Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, field crews with Biohabitats Inc. will visit Rockville’s city-owned parks, forests, meadows, stormwater areas, rights-of-way and other green spaces. Crews will gather data on ecological conditions and non-native invasive species. Field data collection is expected to continue through fall 2026.

The data collected will help inform the Green Space Management Plan and guide the long-term stewardship of Rockville’s green spaces.
