View the Meeting on the Proposed Concept
The City of Rockville hosted two community engagement meetings to present the latest concept plan and entertain your thoughts and feedback. If you missed either of the meetings, please view the recording of the virtual meeting below.
What should RedGate Park look like in 10 years? Twenty years?
When the 131-acre RedGate golf course closed, the City of Rockville Mayor and Council voted unanimously to keep the land — one of the city’s largest remaining areas of open space — as a park.
But the question is, what kind of park? What amenities should RedGate Park have?
Now it's time to decide the details: trails for walking, biking and hiking? A dog park? Picnic areas? Natural areas for birdwatching and habitat preservation? An amphitheater for events? New sports fields with lights?
Over the next year, we invite to join your city to envision — and design — the future for RedGate Park.

This is your chance, Rockville! Put on your thinking caps and dream big.
However, the possibilities are not limitless. The Mayor and Council have determined that RedGate Park will remain a park — which means no residential, commercial or industrial uses in the park.
Share your park ideas with us and your fellow Rockville residents!
